ABOUT GEMS PICTURE
Gem-painting is artistic handiworks. It is painted by using
natural produced gems from the Ruby Land, Mogok. Gems such
as Ruby, sapphire, spinel, Associated Spinel, Lapis-Lazuli,
Garnet, Schorl, Apatite, Peridot, Green-tourmaline, Calcite
are used in making a gem-painting.
There are five stages in making
Gem-painting. Drawing the picture on the Fibre slab is the
first stage. After the drawing, we have to choose the
quality, the size and colors of gems to stick on the sketch.
About ten kinds of Gems are used. There are Ruby, Sapphire,
Spinel, Jade, Associated Spinel, Peridot, Lapis-Lazuli,
Garnet, Schorl, and Green-tourmaline. The Gems which colour
can go with the picture are stuck on the slab by using
suitable glue. After that, Coating of stuck-picture to be
shined by liquor is needed. The final stage is putting the
painting into frame.
